In 2009 Iris Acevedo A. founded CostaRica SpanishOnline School with a burning desire to create an authentic Spanish Language learning experience for an emerging group of students: The Independent Students of Foreign Languages. By offering Spanish Language learning - craving students an alternative to customized unique materials, such as Conversation Books, Spanish Readers and additional learning materials, created by Iris since she first began teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language in Costa Rica in 1982-plus entertaining and exciting discussions in Spanish, she has not only changed the way that people looked at foreign language courses, but changed the experience of Spanish as a Foreign Language learning forever. 
In 2016, the only thing that has not changed is her inherent belief in the core values that keep her inspiring students all over the world.
